Steel Sheet Screens Install On Multiple Buildings

The Brief:

Our brief was to secure an unused shop with main front windows boarded up, there were various other buildings attached and behind with flat roofs and courtyards with multiple windows. We had to ensure all vulnerable openings were made secure, especially those that could be accessed via flat roofs and from within the courtyards.

 

The Solution:

The solution to secure this building was to install steel sheets to all ground floor openings, including fire exits and vulnerable openings on flat roofs. Most to be fixed direct into the brickwork using security screws, however some required a timber frame. We supplemented the steel sheet screens installation with some anti-climb fence panels to a low fence to prevent access to the property this way. We then coated areas with anti-climb paint and erected warning signage. This also included signage warning of the buildings fragile roofs.

 

The Outcome:

We allowed for two days to complete this work. All required works were completed within the time frame specified, our client was very happy with the outcome.
