Anti-climb Security Measures – Oxford

The Brief:

Our customer, a doctor’s surgery in Oxford, had been subject to unlawful and dangerous activity in the form of youths trying to gain unauthorised access to the roof area of the property. They were looking for protection measures to secure the surgery and deter any further anti-social behaviour.

The Solution:

We specified a series of anti-climb safety measures including the installation of spinners to prevent access to the flat roof areas. Spinners are an ideal solution for areas where discrete anti-climb measures are required. They can be mounted, at any angle, to walls, fences, gates, or any other access point, for added security.

We also constructed steel covers for the drainpipes around the surgery to deter access to the flat roof areas. Anti-climb paint was applied as an additional security measure. Due to its non-drying properties, anti-climb paint is very difficult to grip to and is also hard to remove from clothing. It is one of the most cost-effective ways of preventing intrusion when applied to exterior surfaces.

 

The Outcome:

The works were completed over two visits to the site, which included repositioning the spinners for optimum coverage around the building. The work was commissioned and the surgery was fully secured.
