The Brief

Notting Hill’s famous for its carnival and although it’s a highlight on the London events calendar, it proves to be a headache for some local residents. Safe Site Security Solutions were contacted by numerous local Notting Hill residents, to provide a temporary security solution to keep gardens private because instead of being able to enjoy the August Bank Holiday weekend and carnival themselves, they experience an annual problem with carnival fans trespassing onto their property and using their gardens as impromptu toilets.

The Solution

After surveying 20 different homes and gardens, Safe Site Security Solutions installed mainly temporary fencing to boundary areas of the properties. This fencing was the effective choice as it cannot be easily removed by trespassers or high winds but is easy to install on a temporary basis and can be quickly removed by fencing professionals. Temporary fencing was the ideal choice for maximum security but minimal impact or damage to these residential gardens.

The Outcome

Using 3 teams of fully trained operatives, all fencing was installed within 1 day, prior to the Bank Holiday Weekend. Properties were fully secured with care not to disturb planting and garden features and orientated to keep vital areas accessible to the residents, but inaccessible to trespassers.
