The Brief

In April 2012, Safe Site Security Solutions were contacted by property consultants Smiths Gore for the complete clearance and subsequent securing of an Oxfordshire site that had become a favourite dumping ground for fly tippers. Having remained vacant for a period of 3 years, a substantial amount of waste materials had built up over a 300m area.

The Solution

A complete, professional site clearance followed by the building of a bund containing concrete blocks to put a stop to unlawful vehicular access and further fly tipping. Fully licensed for the safe removal, transportation and disposal of all waste including hazardous materials, Safe Site Facilities were able to offer a full site clearance service.

The Outcome

Our team of six operatives completed the project in just one day with the help of a 13 tonne excavator and a 5 tonne dump truck. The waste material, which had reached a depth of 3 metres in some places, was all removed and taken away using 20 yard bins and grab lorries. Following the rubbish clearance, concrete blocks were then skilfully manoeuvred into place across all access points to prevent further unauthorised vehicular entry onto the site by vandals and fly tippers.

In the Future

Since the team from Safe Site Security Solutions left the site, the land has remained secure and free from waste. The concrete barriers will remain in place for as long as required by the property owners.
