Steel Boarding Up in Croydon

The Brief

Secure a large 4 bed detached house in Croydon at both ground and first floor level. Provide a level of protection that will prevent squatters from gaining access to the vacant property and stop vandals doing any damage to windows or doors.

The Solution

Steel boarding was the material of choice as this was stipulated by the building’s insurance company. The strong metal security screens can be quickly and easily cut to size on site and provides a high level of protection. The material is also highly resistant against weathering, which is important if properties remain vacant for sustained periods of time.

The Outcome

It took 2 of our men just 3 days to secure the whole property. 3 of the windows were located over an electricity substation and so we had to work closely with UK Power in order to gain safe access and to properly secure the windows.
